Introduction
Hyperion is an open-source server created by Graham, BrettR and blakeman8192. It is designed for the 317 protocol of RuneScape and it is written in Java. Hyperion uses MINA for the networking. It is one of the most powerful server releases, however, the project is still in development. Hyperion also comes with Hyperite, a web-based administration interface created by Brett.
Login and update server
Hyperion comes with a login server, for multi-world support, and an update server, which allows the cache to be streamed to the client. The update server also features the ability to service HTTP requests, allowing it to function as a rudimentary webserver.
